Emerging Technology Infographic

This is an infographic of my chosen emerging technology, "telepresence". It is loosely defined as technology that is currently available but not necessarily widely used by instructional design practitioners.

eLearning

The purpose of this project is to demonstrate not only Photoshop skills and knowledge via the eCharacter series poses of myself but, also the advanced engaging and interactive eLearning using PowerPoint.

My Experience

Creating infographics was a completely new thing to me and when I first created one, it was challenging. But, the skills and project-based experience this course introduced helped me to use a variety of strategies and tools to create and design infographics and presentations. At first, I was overwhelmed with the assignments, activities, and the fact that we did not have any video sessions in this course felt like I could not succeed in finishing a project. Luckily, those LinkedIn videos, rubrics, and the other course materials helped me to better understand what was expected in each assignment. I enjoyed this course because I am a creative person and design is my favorite thing to do in my free time. I gained understanding of HTML, CSS, and other Web technologies and acquired the ability to create Web sites that are functional and well designed.
