Instructional Design and Development II

I learned each of the components of the ISD process. The course has been organized around ten task/content/skill areas that greatly helped my thought process. The readings, class discussions and other materials greatly helped in the creation of my personal ISD model.

The BATES Model

This was a group project where my partner and I collaborated to create this presentation in discussing about a product-oriented model called BATES model by Tony Bates.

ISD Model Final Report

This paper is the documentation for the model where I specify various stages through which an instructional development project would progress and describe development team or developer activities at each stage.

TARGET Model

This is the video presentation of the ISD model I developed for TOEIC intervention course for EFL learners in Japan. I described the general rationale and recommended tools, instruments, and procedures for each component of the model.

Final Exam

This is the synthesis of the course content where I worked with a partner to produce this paper. We were given a scenario where we have been hired as IDs and it started with conducting an interview with a client.

My Experience

This course used a combination of individual and collaborative work activities that I really enjoyed as I had the chance to work with more people than I used to in other courses. Although it was challenging to meet with my peers, it greatly contributed to my learning. All the discussions were very meaningful and helped me to engage in learning activities to sufficiently develop an understanding of the course content in project management and work closely with teams to complete major projects. I was able to describe each of the components of an ISD Model and compare and contrast them. All the video sessions with guest speakers were also helpful and I hoped that other courses would also have something like that.
